HygieScan
SURFACE · v1See what your eyes can't.
Scan any surface to reveal microbial residue, dust, fungi and dirt — amplified and color-ranked.
What the scan does
- Reads one photo of one surface and reports four readings: microbial, dust, fungi and dirt
- Amplifies the photo so faint marks, residue and texture are easier to see, and marks the spots it judged
- Ranks the four readings from highest to lowest concentration, color-coded Clean through Severe
- Checks each reading against an acceptable standard for that surface and gives a meets / below verdict
- Rates how much the result can be trusted, from the photo quality and how visible the evidence was
Sees clearly
- Dust and lint that has actually settled on a surface
- Dirt, smears, splashes, food residue and stains
- Mold or mildew patches, fuzzy or powdery growth, and darkened grout
- Standing water, damp patches and a slimy sheen
- Insects or other organisms large enough to see
Can only estimate
- Microbial residue and biofilm — judged from moisture, residue and the kind of surface, never seen
- Harmful bacteria risk — read from signs that favour germs (damp, slime, food residue, stained grout), not from the germs themselves
- The size of a concentration — the numbers rank one surface against another, they are not lab measurements
- The acceptable standard — written by AI for the surface type, not an official or legal limit
- Whether a surface was clean before the photo was taken
Cannot see at all
- Bacteria, viruses and individual microbes, or which species are present — nothing is named unless it is visible to the naked eye
- Germs that are present but not yet visible
- Allergens, pesticides and chemical residues
- Contamination inside porous material, under liquid, or in seams and joints
- Whether a surface is safe to eat or drink from
If you need to know about germs rather than visible grime, use a lab swab or ATP test — no photo can replace one.
